The Affiliate's Guide To How To Make Money

A great deal of blogging has taken place on the topic of how to make money as an affiliate marketer on the SOSComplete! Blog. However, I am still going to talk about it here because I am a huge fan of affiliate programs.

First things first. Register for an affiliate account at SOSComplete.com. Once you have signed up, go into your account, and click on the "Offers" tab on the top left of the screen. Browse through each section under the "Offers" tab, and get a feel for the navigation.

Once you are comfortable, find the products which are relevant to you. Preferably, these products should relate to something which you are knowledgeable about. You can read a short paragraph highlighting each product by clicking on the name of the product to the right of the product image. Take the time to visit to corresponding website of the products which interest you by clicking on the"Preview" link. This will open the website for the corresponding product in a separate window. This website is the same page which your customers will see.

Take time to read the website it takes you to. You should try and reach the point where you know as much as you can possibly know about the product. The website will give you all of the information to make this possible.

Now let us look at how to make money from someone else's product on their website.

One of the best ways to promote affiliate products is by creating a free report on the product. However, the focus of your report should never be primarily on the product. Rather, you need to focus on the reader.

Offer hope to the reader, and let them know that there is a solution to their problem.

Make sure that you remain neutral in your approach to the product. Remember that you are conveying information with a report, not selling. The website will do the selling once your reader seeks more information by visiting it.

While you should be authoritative in your tone, do not sound the least bit pushy or desperate. Make sure that the reader is well aware of the fact that you are well versed on the topic. This is where your prior preparation will be essential. Your knowledge on the topic, and willingness to convey it instills trust in the reader, who is now a potential customer.

Give your reader a reason to purchase your product by showing them in your report what they will gain. Remember, the focus is on the reader and what your product can do for them.

At the end of your report, make sure that you include a resource box.

A resource box looks something similar to this:

Your Name

Is an avid student and researcher of airborne diseases.

Read more about this topic at, "Swine Influenza: A Spreading Myth or Endangering Disease?"

{Hyperlink The Name of the Product To Your Affiliate URL}

I realize that is not the prettiest resource box, but if you see what is out there, it is actually very good. Now your task is to get people to read your free report.

The best way to do this is by visiting as many free article submission websites as you can find. Some of the more popular ones are, "Ezine Articles", "Article City", "Zap Content", "Isnare", "GoArticles", and "WebProNews". By no means is this an exhaustive list.

Some article submission websites will have guidelines, so make sure that you read them. Others will instantly accept your free report. Still others may ask you to sign up, some may take a while to actually view your content.

(BEWARE: Some article directories do not allow affiliate links in reports or articles, but most do.)

Once you have completed these steps, start over from the beginning. Review another product in a similar format, and start the submission process all over again.

If you are looking for how to make money, this is a great way to do so on a shoe-string budget.

Zero Cost. Zero Obligation.
