Has it been your goal to find a consistent method of how to make money for a few years now? If so, make sure that you look at your past so that you can repeat the good and rid yourself of the bad.

Yes, another year is nearly over. Before going any further, take a moment to reflect on the past years. Begin with an honest evaluation of your accomplishments, successes and failures.

Come 2010, welcome the new year with a celebration of the past. Whatever challenges you faced last year, you are here to face another year. You are inspired and ready to tackle new endeavours, explore new horizons and reach for the stars. Be positive. Believe in yourself. See success before it comes. Do not be afraid of success. These are all things which you need to keep near and dear to you when finding the perfect combination of how to make money going forward.

However, looking back helps you to evaluate what worked and what did not. If you invested your time and/or money in a venture which did not work because it was fundamentally flawed, stay away from such ventures. Do not repeat the same mistakes of the past. Rather, learn from your mistakes, and know what does not work.

Unfortunately, some issues seem to be replayed over and over. How many years has it been that you have promised to be more responsible and consistent regarding your diet and exercise? How about the overuse of your credit card? Did you work on your time management skills? What is it going to be this year? What are your priorities? If you priority is to make money, just do not take the same short cuts which may have lead to your most recent mistakes.

Just remember that it is all a matter of perspective. Somewhere in the past, you probably have stumbled. Perhaps you remained in a rut for a while. Just remember, this was the past, which is now history. You reached into the deep well of strength and courage within yourself, and you moved forward.

No one passes through this life without making the acquaintance of pain. Larger issues which arise in life tend to dwarf your previous largest issue, essentially making them non-issues. Add to this regret over money you may have lost, incorrect choices and failed decisions.

Just realize that such events do not define your life. It is the lessons learned from these, and the determination to do better which write your life story. Learn from past mishap, put them in your knowledge bank, and move forward. If your goal is to determine how to make money, this is something that you will need to become familiar with.
