If you want to learn how to make money, start building an email list. Once you have subscribers joining your email list you should make sure that you keep in touch with them on a regular basis.  It is a vital component of an Internet Marketing business to build an excellent relationship with these subscribers. They must begin to know who you are and what you are about so that they start to believe in what you are saying to them.

 

An auto-responder is with out doubt the best way to do this. It will enable you to write a complete series of emails that can be sent out to each person that opts in to your list. Once they have confirmed their interest via the opt-in box, the first email will be sent out.

 

You can then select the day for the next email to go out and then the next and the next etc. You can change the delay between each email so if you want one a day for the first 3 days and then reduce that to one every 3 days, this is not a problem. The same emails go out to every subscriber in the same order until they unsubscribe.

 

You are also able to send out an email to your whole list at the same time irrespective of when they joined. These are called broadcast emails and are especially useful to advice your list of upcoming webinars or special offers that will only run for certain periods of time etc.

 

A good relationship is something that you need to develop with your list to make sure that when your emails arrive in their inbox they actually open them and do not just delete them automatically. This is the only way that you will get a great uptake on any offers that you may suggest to them.

You can do this by making sure the salutation is to the named recipient by using the tools in your auto-responder. Make sure that you are not continually pitching to your list, you will find them much more responsive if you are giving them value of some kind.  This can range from a free gift to giving them advice on how to advance their business or project. Your customers want to know that you have their best interests at heart.

 

It is always good to remember the old adage that people will buy from other people as long as they like and trust them. This is what you need to keep in mind when learning how to make money. Your job is to make that happen. Your list can be a real asset to your business and not only can it be profitable to you in the short term but it could be worth a substantial amount of money in the longer one.
