If you have been researching how to make money online, you have probably heard about "keyword research." Maybe you are trying to wrap your head around the whole mystery of "finding a niche." Perhaps you are also trying to fathom the process of keyword research? Maybe you have ten different reports and a dozen videos cluttering up your computer, each one promoting a different "method" of doing keyword research and finding that profitable niche.

At some point cross over into complete information overload; nothing makes any sense and that seems unlikely to change! It's possible that you have an emerging appreciation of what a niche market is you might even recognize a good keyword when it's put in front of you, but finding your own targeted keywords is just not happening yet. Perhaps you have tried half-a-dozen free keyword research tools, or bought six different pieces of software that were guaranteed to automate your keyword research? All of these things seem to promise that you will be able to find an unlimited number of valuable keywords with little or no effort.

Unfortunately, you need some understanding of niche marketing to identify valuable keywords, and developing that knowledge takes time. How many hours have you spent flipping from some keyword tool to Google and back again in search of those magic phrases that fulfill the law of low competition versus high search volume? Maybe you've found some juicy keywords, but you have no idea whether they will actually get you traffic that is interested in buying -- what if your keywords only produce a flood of visitors who are nowhere near the buying end of their search process?

Quite honestly, this is one of the most exhausting places to be in your life as a new affiliate marketer. For those who are trying to learn in their spare time, between work and family responsibilities, the hours of fruitless hunting for keywords don't leave time for anything else. You want to build your hub pages or a Wordpress site, get cracking on some articles, learn how to build backlinks -- but the hours you have are all gone.

If you could count on a source of good keywords you'd be free to get on with using them. Think about what you'd do if you were handed a reliable list of several dozen keywords for a viable niche? You would be free to work at the next steps -- put together a set of Squidoo lenses around four or five keywords and then start learning how to write good articles.

Your challenge then is to keep writing articles whenever you have fifteen minutes or a half-hour, targeting a new keyword each time. Good article writing comes with experience. If you do it, you will get faster and write better. With dozens of keywords to choose from you, you will figure out how to make money.
