People often do not understand how to make money from a simple batch of PLR articles. "PLR" stands for private label rights, and it means that you have the right to use the material as your own, depending on the license terms. Some PLR does have restrictions, but for the most part you are allowed to modify the content and create derivative works from it.

 

For PLR that allows alterations, here are a few simple ways to turn PLR into profit:

 

1. Create Audio Files from PLR Articles

 

Audio files (MP3) can easily be created from PLR articles, and used in a variety of ways.  You can give them away to your subscribers, submit them to Podcast directories to help promote your website, or even sell them.

 

Use a free software like Audacity to record your PLR articles into audio files.  A little bit of technical knowledge is necessary because you need to have a microphone and a special plug-in to convert the files to MP3.  If you don't want to do that, try a service called Audio Acrobat.  Using nothing more than a telephone, you can call in and record your articles into MP3 files, then download them and allow others to play or download them from your website.

 

2. Turn an E-Book into an Audio Book

 

You can even string several PLR articles together and record them as an audio book - or simply start with a full-length e-book and create an audio book from it.  This is a great way to boost your profits by selling the e-book version and the audio book separately - or combine them into a combo pack and raise the price a bit.

 

3. From Text to Video

 

Using software like Camtasia or Animoto, you can turn written PLR into videos and use them to promote your website (or even sell them).  Just take segments of PLR content to share a few tips or ideas with the viewer, add images or a live computer  demonstration with Camtasia, and you are ready to go.

 

4. Turning PLR Articles into Reports

 

If you have a pack of articles on the same topic, it's very easy to compile them into a report.  You may have to do some minor editing and rewriting to make the articles fit as one long document, but most of the time this is quick and easy to do.  Then you have a brand new report that you can give away, use as an opt-in incentive, or even sell it outright from your website.  Most reports that are around 25-40 pages long can easily sell for $7 to $20, depending on the topic.

 

5. Create Text Documents from Audio and Video PLR

 

If you have some good PLR video or audio files, you can turn them into text documents easily.  Either transcribe them yourself or hire a freelancer to do it for you. Then you have a new report, a pack of articles, an e-course, or any other product you wish to create from them.
